Your weight WILL be determined by this...

Hi Reader,

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

I've just wrapped up attending a Happy Hormones summit which brought a bunch of data and current trends to the forefront of what is going on today in the realm of hormone health.

A recurring theme in the summit and overall is weight loss. How to lose the weight, how to keep it off, and how to feel happy in your body regardless of what the scale says.

We tend to assume that because we hit a certain age bracket that weight gain is simply what happens, no matter what you try.

And, it can sure feel that way.

It is true that, as we get older, and especially as we enter perimenopause and menopause, our hormones feel like the root cause.

However, here is the magical question to ask yourself...

What is happening in your body that is allowing your hormones to become so imbalanced?

Have you heard of the fishtank analogy?

When you have a fish living in water that starts to get dirty, and the fish gets sick, you medicate the fish to help it get well.

But what about the water?

Yes, the water needs to be changed, but, you've got to clean the tank as well!

Do you know that feeling as you swipe a finger on the inside of a dirty tank and it feels slick and slimy? That's the grime that needs cleaning.

If you simply fill the tank with fresh water, you're putting it back into a dirty tank, and the gunk is still there.

Your body is a tank too.

Weight is the #1 thing my clients struggle with.

The struggle is real, and it is not always an easy fix.

I'm pretty sure that you are not going to McDonald's every day, eating Big Macs and large fries. If you are, your first step is to start making burgers at home.

It's much more likely that you've tried everything...every new diet, every shake, every exercise.

For some people, eating healthier and exercising will make all the difference. And often, as you start eating healthier and exercising, you start making healthier choices overall which helps even more!

However, for most people, there are underlying issues contributing to the stubborn weight, such as:

  • Exposure to toxins (in food, personal care products, water, pots and pans, prescription medications, mold etc.)
  • Essential mineral deficiencies
  • Digestive dysfunction
  • Gut bugs and/or pathogens
  • Inflammatory foods

These are things that your body fights, day in and day out, if they are present. Your body is holding onto weight because it thinks it needs to protect you.

Weight gain is unfortunately, a side effect of these exposures and imbalances.

Here's the great news, as we start to address these issues, your body will finally start to heal and let go of the weight.

And you know what? There are tests you can do, in your own home, that will give us the answers to where your tank needs support. (I can help you with this! πŸ˜‰)

Are you ready to start cleaning your tank?

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope it is filled with sun, fun and relaxation!

Christa 😊

Hi Reader, We are more than halfway through January and I still feel like I'm slowly easing into the year. Anyone else feeling that too? The days are cold and gloomy here in the Northeast, and all I want to think about is being warm and cozy! What is the ultimate act of self-love? It's self-care. Why Self-Care? Because You're Worth It! ✨ In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to forget the most important person in the roomβ€”you! We go day in and day out taking care of our family, our...

Hi Reader, Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday! There is nothing I love more than the feeling of a new year and starting off with a clean slate. New ideas, new goals, new inspiration. With this, also comes the marketing of resolutions - "do this", "don't do that", there are so many words of advice coming at you all at once. It can be hard to ignore them because, if you are like me, I want to make the best choice for myself. This is the height of shiny object syndrome time....

Hi Reader, I love planning for a new year. 🌟 It's like a clean slate to make fresh goals and put to rest what didn't work in the previous year. Health is always on my list. Yep, I'm a health practitioner, but I'm constantly working on the next level of health for my own body. Sure, I've refined a lot, but there's always more to focus on. (In 2023 I did a parasite cleanse - it sounds SO gross, but was totally worth it, I'd rather have those buggers out than in lol, tested my thyroid, had my...
